Reminder to be nice to the new wave of newbies

With the current price closing in on the ATH. I would expect a new wave of people coming in to this subreddit.

Lots of 'dumb' questions will be asked. Lots of people will come here for FOMO. Some questions are real, while others are just trolls. There will be confusion between BTC and BCH for the new guys given the names of it's websites and subreddits etc.

Let's remember to be nice and steer these guys in the right direction and welcome these new wave of people.

The best thing that you can do for bitcoin... other than buying it

Spread the word, education is key, Educate your friends, family, neighbors, acquaintances, people at work, your boss, everybody you know. Consult them on how bitcoin works and the benefits it has, explain to them the blockchain technology and usefulness of bitcoin in the future with our failing government and fiat inflation. The more people that understand the way that bitcoin works and the benefits it has, the more adopted, main stream, utilized and normal it will become, which will in return make it go higher. One of the main reasons regular people don’t like bitcoin is because people don’t like things they don’t understand, especially older or stubborn people that are very stuck in their ways with the current Fiat system that’s failing before their eyes. What I don't understand...

Why are there so many posts like "I have $100-$1000, should I put it all in now or buy later?" Usually people like this are teens or millennials, which to them, this might feel like alot of money. We are so early in Bitcoin that $1000 is about 2 milllion satoshis. Do you really think you will only be worth $1000 by the time you need to retire in 40-50 years? No. So just buy bitcoin, if it goes to $0, who cares. Or the more likely outcome is bitcoin is worth millions of dollars (if dollars exist) and you are set for retirement. Just buy the bitcoin ticket and keep it somewhere safe(don't lose your keys) and don't touch it. Don't day-trade it. Whenever you sell, whales are buying your sats and will be holding them forever and you're going to have to buy less for more later.
