Bitcoin Price (BTC) Staging Another Dip Before It Could Recover

Image
Bitcoin price is declining and it recently traded to a new monthly low at $7,661 against the US Dollar. The price is trading in a downtrend and it is likely to test the $7,500 or $7,200 level in the near term. There is a key bearish trend line forming with resistance near $8,050 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair (data feed from Kraken). The price could soon complete the current decline near $7,500 or $7,200 in the coming sessions. Bitcoin price is showing signs of more downsides below $8,000 against the US Dollar. BTC is likely to find a strong buying interest near the $7,500 or $7,200 support. Bitcoin Price Analysis Recently, there was a minor upside correction in bitcoin above the $8,000 level against the US Dollar. The BTC/USD pair even climbed above the $8,200 resistance. Finally, the price spiked towards $8,400, but it failed to gain momentum. Moreover, there was no proper close above $8,200 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. As a result, the price started a

Venezuela reportedly wants its central bank to hold bitcoin

Image
The bank is likewise considering proposals to count cryptocurrencies toward international reserves that have plummeted in recent years. It’s not certain where Petroleos got the bitcoin and ethereum, let alone how much it has. There’s also no guarantee that companies would accept such a move when crypto’s relative anonymity and the potential for money laundering leads many other banks to hold off. That’s not even including the potential for further trade restrictions. This is a Hail Mary effort to sustain Venezuela’s economy (and thus the Maduro government), and it may ultimately amount to a risky experiment even if it goes ahead. from e-cryptonews https://ift.tt/2mbAz3L

Bitcoin And Crypto Market Extending Decline: BCH, EOS, TRX, ADA Analysis

Image
The total crypto market cap is below $210.0B and is likely to extend its decline. Bitcoin price is trading below $8,000 and it is moving with a bearish angle. EOS price is down more than 2% and is approaching the $2.700 and $2.650 support levels. BCH price is facing resistance near the $225 level and it could revisit the $200 support area Tron (TRX) price is approaching the $0.0130 level and it might continue to decline. Cardano (ADA) price is down 5% and it recently broke the key $0.0385 support area. Bitcoin and the crypto market cap are currently extending their decline. Ethereum (ETH), EOS, Tron (TRX), BCH, ripple , ADA and BNB are trading in a bearish zone. Bitcoin Cash Price Analysis After a strong decline, BCH price found support near the $200 level against the US Dollar. The price started an upside correction and traded above the $210 level. However, the price struggled to break the $225 resistance level and it is currently trading with a bearish bias. It seems like

YouTube Music to be preinstalled on Android 10 devices

Image
YouTube has announced the YouTube Music app will come preinstalled on devices as part of Android. Previously, the music subscription service required a separate download from Google Play.  The app will also come preloaded on new devices that ship with Android 10 and 9 Pie in the future, including Google’s Pixel devices, YouTube said. Google’s other music subscription service, Google Play Music, which had previously come bundled as part of Android will no longer be preinstalled on Android devices.  See also: Google Nest Hub Max – The value of assistants are starting to make sense “Google Play Music listeners with new Android 10 devices can continue to enjoy Google Play Music by downloading it from the Play Store and logging in to their accounts,” YouTube said. The new-look interface to the Google Play Store — which gets two billion visitors a month — brings it in line

Bitcoin Pullback Nothing to Worry About, Bull Market Will Follow

Image
Every time Bitcoin dumps a double digit percentage panic floods the crypto community and the doom merchants start rejoicing. This has happened so many times before and every dump has eventually turned into a sustained rally. Nothing is new this time as previous corrections have shown. Bitcoin Market in 2013 Compared to Now Observing previous market movements may help us predict the current one. Naturally things are very different in 2019 than they were in 2013 but the chart patterns show similarities. Back then Bitcoin was largely a plaything for geeks with mining rigs made out of gaming PCs in their garages. Today it supports a multi-billion dollar industry but the volatility remains. One thing that is guaranteed with Bitcoin is price corrections. When it surges things happen fast but when it corrects the price drops even quicker. At the moment BTC has corrected 42 percent from its high this year. A correction of this magnitude had been predicted by many a couple of months ago and

Ethereum (ETH) Price In Corrective Increase But Facing Hurdles

Image
ETH price managed to recover above $172, but it failed to continue above $180 against the US Dollar. The price is currently trading below the $170 support and it might retest the $165 or $162 support. There is likely a flag pattern forming with resistance near $171 on the hourly chart of ETH/USD (data feed via Kraken). The price could correct towards the $180 level in the coming sessions as long as above $162. Ethereum price is trading in a broad range after this past week’s decline versus the US Dollar and bitcoin . ETH price might continue to face hurdles near $175 and $180. Ethereum Price Analysis This past week, we saw a strong decline in Ethereum below the $185 support against the US Dollar. ETH price even settled below the $175 level and the 100 hourly simple moving average. A new monthly low was formed near $152 before the price started trading in a range. The bears made two attempts to break the $152 and $150 support levels , but they failed to gain momentum. Recently,

If I purchase Monero with Bitcoin, then purchase Bitcoin with Monero, can the two Bitcoin ledgers be linked?

Here's a hypothetical scenario I've been pondering. John Doe has 10 Bitcoin that is being closely monitored by a large organization. No matter how many times John Doe tumbles and splits his Bitcoin, the large organization has the computing power to trace all 10 of the Bitcoin back to John Doe. John Doe decides that he still wants to own Bitcoin, but he wants to own his Bitcoin anonymously where the large organization cannot find trace it. John Doe converts the 10 Bitcoin he owns into 1440 Monero on an exchange using a burner account that requires no personal information to create. Then, after several days, John Doe converts the 1440 Monero on the exchange back to 10 Bitcoin. Finally, John Doe then transfers the 10 Bitcoin off the exchange to a cold storage wallet where only he can access it. At the end of this hypothetical scenario, is the 10 Bitcoin stored in John Doe's cold storage wallet completely anonymous and untraceable by the large organization? submitted

Can someone shed some light on this situation

I apologize for the lack of information ahead of time, this is just something I heard earlier today and I was hoping someone here had more information or experience they can share. (I am not familiar with bitcoin or blockchains hence why coming here asking for opinions) My friends brother has been investing $900 a month with some bitcoin investing service for the last 6 months. He sent my friend (his brother) a screenshot of his account showing he had 6.xx bitcoins. I think bitcoin is at almost $8,000 a bitcoin, is it possible to have such a radical turn around from a bitcoin investing service? Or something fishy going on? I asked him what the catches were and he told me that the service has 15% fee when you cash out, and then there is a 8% withdrawal fee on-top of that. On top of that, he said they can only cash out at the of the end of the month or when they let him (you choose month, week, etc). Im sitting here doing the math 23% of (8,000 x 6) - 5,400 (total investment) is abo

How life on Earth was boosted by an asteroid collision 446m years ago

Image
Something mysterious happened nearly half a billion years ago that triggered one of the most important changes in the history of life on Earth. Suddenly, there was an explosion of species, with the biodiversity of invertebrate animals increasing from a very low level to something similar to what we see today. The most popular explanation for this “Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event” is that it was a result of an uncomfortably hot Earth cooling and eventually heading into an ice age. But what actually triggered the change in temperature? In our new paper, published in Science Advances, we show that its onset coincided exactly with the largest documented asteroid breakup in the asteroid belt during the past two billion years, caused by a collision with another asteroid or a comet. Even today, almost a third of all meteorites falling on Earth originate from the breakup of this 150 kilometer-wide asteroid between Jupiter and Mars. Following this event, enormous amounts of dust wo

I have ascended to a Hodler

Let’s preface this: I have been in crypto for about 2.5-3 years now, mostly in Bitcoin. I dabbled in alts for a quick stint, lost a good amount of money, and got out. Over the years, I have hit a couple different phases. When I first got in, I was checking the price around 3-4 times a day. As time has gone on, I find myself checking less and less. This has gotten to the point that I just don’t really check the price at all. I remember opening Coinbase the other day to see the price drop. I just blew some air out of my nose, said “hmm”, and bought the dip. What I’m trying to say here is that I have hit the phases of buying and selling, checking the prices hourly, but at the end of the day everyone should be it for the long run. Price could drop again and again, but it won’t really matter in 20 years. TL;DR: HODL submitted by /u/drockaferd [link] [comments] from Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet https://ift.tt/2nLQTZc

BTC, a response to the Cartel and the necessity of DeFi

Finding my legs in the Crypto sphere has been a wild ride to say the least. Watching BTC in particular drive up to its ATH was incredibly exciting for an anarcho-capitalist like me. I am not "allowed" to judge people as to why they are interested or invested in crypto, it is also an exercise in futility because in my opinion anybody invested/interested in BTC/Crypto are my allies. Allies in a fight against the central banks of the world - and the cartel. Call me paranoid, but I have seen what the central banks are capable of. For me it began in 2008 or so when I saw the govt. and politics doing things that were against my interests. Upon investigation I learned what the FED was and seemingly what their agenda was. A really great animated short presents their 100+ years of existence and history before the FED was created, which can allow the observer/investor/enlightened a more macro perspective into why I think BTC and Cryptocurrencies were created. Two more 10th-gen Intel X-series processors leak on Geekbench, almost completing the lineup

Image
Highly anticipated: Intel’s next X-series Core i9 processors are just around the corner, and courtesy of a sneaky Dell engineer, four of them have appeared in the Geekbench 4 database. Last week we met the 18-core behemoth i9-10980XE and the little 10-core i9-10900X, and now we’ve also glimpsed the 14-core i9-10940X and the 12-core i9-10920X. Performance boosts are solid, but will they be enough to compete with Zen 2-based Threadripper? Let’s dive immediately into the scores. For the following sneak-peak, we’ve used the online Geekbench scores from the same Dell 5820 workstation used by Dell for all their testing, so while this may not be the exact performance of the chips, they’ll at least be configured and cooled the same (and thus appropriate for comparisons). To be clear, none of these tests were completed by TechSpot. Apart from the Core i9-10980XE which achieves all of nothing over its predecessor, multi-core scores improved respectably by 10%, 11%, and 10% for the i9-10940X

Today I deposited $200 cash into an ATM and with my luck as it was processing it, it said there was an error and gave me back $40 so it took $160 from me. I called the bank and reported a claim but the most ironic part was I was going to buy bitcoin with that $200. Just makes me even more confident.

New Interest in DAOs Prompts Old Question: Are They Legal?

Image
“Ethereum is only now starting to shrug off its ‘PTSDAO,’” tweeted Ameen Soleimani, the SpankChain CEO and creator of a now-$1.2 million decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) called the MolochDAO. After an infamous hack drained “The DAO” of roughly $60 million in 2016, developers have been hesitant to kickstart new projects in its likeness. That is, until now. DAOs were the “it” topic at recent ethereum gatherings in Berlin. That followed the announcement in early August of a new DAO spearheaded by Web3 Foundation executive Ryan Zurer. But one lingering question still remains: Is a for-profit DAO legal? ConsenSys-backed blockchain startup OpenLaw is looking to answer that question, unveiling earlier this month a new vision for DAO projects focused on legal compliance. In a blog post, OpenLaw boldly stated: “OpenLaw will help to resurrect the initial vision of The DAO in a manner that comports with U.S. law.” OpenLaw’s so-called “Limited Liability Autonomous Organizatio

Bitcoin Price Could See 10% Bounce if $8,000 Holds

Image
Last week, volatility finally picked up for the Bitcoin price after a multi-week lull. While many traders embraced this tumultuous price action, it seems that the cryptocurrency market is settling once again, with BTC finding support at $8,000. Related Reading: Gold Fractal Predicted Bitcoin Distribution, Up Next Is Two Years of Sideways Over the past three days, the asset has been relatively still in the low-$8,000s, having not lost or gained more than 5% in any 24-hour period. While some believe that this lack of price action is a precursor to yet another bout of consolidation, analysts are starting to expect for Bitcoin to mount on a recovery. One that will bring the cryptocurrency up by at least 10%. Chances for Bitcoin Recovery Building According to Josh Rager, as long as Bitcoin continues to “range between heavy support near $8,000”, the more likely it is that the cryptocurrency will see a nearly 10% bounce to $8,700. The idea here is that as $8,000 has acted as an importa

How Crypto Gambling Is Regulated Around the World

Image
Countries around the world take varying approaches to the crypto gambling and betting, with Japan perhaps having the most defined stance. The Japanese House of Representatives recently passed new crypto asset regulation affecting exchanges and custodians — the Payment Services Act and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act . However, the country’s crypto gambling industry still endures strict gambling regulations.  “Japan has very strict rules regarding gambling and the same applies to crypto gambling,” Joseph D. Hugh, CFO of international cryptocurrency betting platform Jukebucks, told Cointelegraph, adding:   “Although it is very difficult to restrict players who play, the government keeps a close tab on crypto transactions originating from Japan using taxation as an excuse.”  Yet, Japan passed a federal law in July 2018 that allows physical casinos in the country: “Japan is opening up its offline casino license to major players after next year’s Olympics,” Hugh pointed

Algorithms help robot dogs trot more like real animals

Image
Cameras and LiDAR are also present to help robots avoid collisions. This doesn’t require dramatic changes to the bots themselves, at least. The test units are Ghost Robotics designs augmented with sensors to test the new algorithms. The initial work has proven fruitful, but there’s a lot of work left before you could see this in robots beyond the lab. Assistant professor and key researcher Kavel Hamed also stressed that it wasn’t just about making the algorithms more effective — they also have to be genuinely “bio-inspired.” As such, it could be a while before there’s a pet robot that moves just as smoothly as the real thing. from e-cryptonews https://ift.tt/2odNpPu
